Thomas Telford: The Man who built Britain

Inverness College, Longman Road. Free

Scotsman Thomas Telford is perhaps Britain¹s greatest engineer. Despite having been built 200 years ago, scores of his creations still stand as monuments to his genius. Great Scottish engineering is so much a part of our landscape that it¹s easy to forget that it was once revolutionary and world-beating. This documentary celebrates the work of the shepherd¹s son who blazed the way for Scotland to become one of the great engineering nations of the world.
