A new informal heritage group in Invergordon meets at Invergordon Museum on the 1st Thursday of every month, expect for January when it meets on the 2nd Thursday. Meetings are informal, with discussions of ideas for future projects or updates of research undertaken. All welcome!

Heritage in Action Days return for 2017 this summer at Highland Folk Museum. On the 6, 13, 20, 27 July and 3 & 10 August you can enjoy demonstrations across the site of traditional skills, from spinning and weaving to cooking, waulking the cloth, pole lathe and lots more!
Township – Visitors to the township can see a range of traditional crafts including weaving, spinning, pole lathe and basket making.
Croft – In our 1930’s Croft visitors can see traditional cooking and rope-making
Highland Heavyweight – Demonstrating a range of equipment and telling you a little bit of the history of the Highland Games in the area.
Am Fasgadh – Special store tours are available for visitors each day by our specially trained team of volunteers.

'Poverty is Relative'
Meriel Buxton will speak about her book 'Poverty is Relative'. The story of Sir John William Ramsden (1831-1914) and Sir John Frecheville Ramsden (1877-1958).
Numbers are limited for this event which will be held at Ardverikie.

We have capacity for 60 attendees and places will be issued on a first-come, first served basis.

Guests will be asked to arrive at 7:15 for some refreshments and a chance to chat. We intend to start the meeting at 7:30.
Access to Ardverikie is via the main drive - turn in at the Gate Lodge, across the Pattack. The security barrier will be open.
