Day long conference sponsored by NTS as part of their ALIVE (Archaeology & Landscape .
There will also a public conference taking place during the week on Thursday 27th April. This is open to anybody interested in finding out more about archaeology where you can attend talks by international renowned archaeologists and find out more about what archaeologists do, the prehistory of Wester Ross, latest news in archaeological techniques and the landscape of Inverewe over the last 2,000 years. There are a number of speakers lined up giving short presentations throughout the day on a range of topics from 10am until 16.30pm.
The Conference is limited and anyone interested in attending must gain a pass. The passes are free; they are in place to ensure that we have enough capacity for delegates. On Thursday evening there will be an evening celebration at Poolewe Village Hall where attendees for both conferences are invited to join the NTS Team for dinner and evening entertainment (Free entry).

Ardersier and Petty Community Heritage group meets on the last Thursday of the month at PACE Heritage Cafe in Ardersier. Doors open at 6:30, and meetings start once everyone has had a cuppa. All welcome.

Making Tracks - Building Bridges
Talla nan Ros, King Street, Kingussie
An evening of illustrated heritage with live music and song. Come along and help celebrate the 140th birthday of the school and hear about the people who made tracks in education in Kingussie in 1876. Also, help celebrate the 150th birthday of the Burgh of Kingussie and hear about the men who led the way in developing Kingussie into a town and police burgh in 1867.
