Cathy Dagg tells the story of 30 years of change, 1770-1800, which left a lasting impact socially, materially and environmentally on a remote, isolated and backward part of the Highlands and how Loch Broom played its own small but significant role in the development of the British Empire.

Jellicoe Express - Centenary Celebration
Forsinard Railway Station and RSPB Field Centre, Forsinard Flows
Jonny Jellicoe, grandson of Admiral Jellicoe, will unveil the final plaque commemorating the route of the 'Jellicoe Express', which transported personnel up to Scapa Flow during WWI. Activities include talks, workshops and guided walks to the Flows Lookout.
Refreshments will be provided. Free event.
Come and share your memories of the train station.
The event is timed to coincide with the train times, to enable people to travel to the event by train. There is limited parking. www.theflowcountry.org.uk
