Create an Exhibition at Highland Folk Museum [Newtonmore] ...

31 May 2014

Starts: 10:30
Ends: 15:30

Would you like to curate an exhibition at the Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore?

In these workshops you will research and interpret museum objects,  practise behind the scenes museum work and create an innovative exhibition of previously un-shown objects for display in the Church Building during July. The exhibition will then tour throughout the Highlands to locations including Gairloch, Strathpeffer and Grantown.

The exhibition is composed around the theme of migration; journeying and the cultural gifts that people carry with them when moving from their home. We shall be researching and interpreting objects from the museum´s collections, including the world-famous I. F. Grant Collection and images from the Highland Photographic Archive.

Every Saturday from 31 May - 14 June (inclusive), 10:30 - 3:30 & Thursday 3 July, 10:30 - 12:30
