The post-war decades were a period of dramatic social, economic, and cultural change in Scotland. This webinar will take a close look at how these changes affected the everyday lives of women and girls in a country still struggling to cast off a deeply patriarchal legacy in its public and private life.

In this talk, Dr Donaldson will also assess the impact of the economic and cultural turbulence of the 1970s and 1980s on the deeply patriarchal attitudes, policies and practices still embedded in Scotland’s public institutions and in everyday life.
