Excavation at Loch Buidhe, Sutherland

AOC will be leading a public excavation, excavating a longhouse near Loch Buidhe, Sutherland; volunteers are invited to take part in every stage of the excavation and recording process.
A team of AOC’s experienced archaeologists will be working onsite every day from Tuesday 9th until Tuesday 16th of April, including over the weekend. However, pre-registration is not necessary and you are welcome to turn up without notice! All tools and equipment will be provided.
The site is around 6 miles north of Bonar Bridge, just off the Migdale Road. Please wear sturdy boots and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring plenty to eat and drink.
