The UHI Centre for History will host its first public lecture of the next academic year in cooperation with the National Trust for Scotland at the Culloden Battlefield visitor centre on Saturday, 5 October 2013, 11.30 am.

The lecture will be presented by Kieran German and Darren Layne who are conducting exciting new research on the history of the Jacobites.

It is entitled:

'Honor's war we strongly waged' –
Exploring Jacobite Army Doctrine
in the Risings of 1715 and 1745’

The lecture is part of a day event which will include a guided battlefield tour and a chance to see the battlefield exhibition.
