U3A Study Day; Highland Landscape and the Future: what do we value? [Inverness]

Inverness & Black Isle U3A are hosting a study day on Saturday 5 April 2014 at Smithton Free Church, Murray Road, Inverness. The topic is: HIGHLAND LANDSCAPE AND THE FUTURE: What do we value?

Speakers are Richard Oram (Professor of Environmental & Medieval History, Stirling University); Ken Gray (Retired Port Captain, Cromarty Firth Port Authority); and Fran Lockhart (Land Manager, John Muir Trust).

Facilitated discussion groups will consider issues of Heritage, Education, Industry & Energy, Landscape, Population and Tourism & Recreation and will address questions to an Expert Panel comprising the speakers, Katherine Harry (Scottish Natural Heritage) and Jean Urquhart (MSP, Highlands & Islands).
