Historian, Professor Marjory Harper, will explore the experiences of migration and return, as experienced by Highlanders over the centuries. The lecture will include images, historical accounts and recordings from interviews undertaken during her research.

Marjory Harper is Professor of History at the University of Aberdeen, and had
a three years secondment to the UHI Centre for History. She has published widely on the history of emigration. Her most recent book, ‘Scotland No More? The Scots who left Scotland in the twentieth century’, was awarded the Frank Watson Prize and short-listed for the Saltire Society Prize.
