Co-curate an innovative exhibition that will explore the ancient and historical crafts associated with hunting, shooting and fishing, and their applications today.
In the workshops you will conduct hands-on research on objects and historic photographs from the collections at the Inverness and Highland Folk Museums and the Highland Photographic Archive, as well as learning the theory and practise underpinning object handling, artefact research and display and interpretation.
The exhibition will bring together the prehistoric and historic pieces with contemporary craft works that demonstrate the ways in which millennia of craft expertise is still being developed today.
The workshop programme includes a two week research break, during which participants will be given research materials from the museums’ archive to explore and work from.
These workshops are FREE, but booking is essential, as places are limited.
