Malcolm Standring will provide hands-on instruction on using Open Source GIS software, allowing you to geo-reference maps and combine map information with a database. Basic computing knowledge needed, but the course assumes no previous knowledge of GIS systems. Bring your own laptop, or there will be some extra for using on the course.
