 Highland township. Highland Folk

Costumed interpreters bring the  1700s township to life
and show how Highlanders lived with cooking,
spinning, weaving, wood working and the odd
Jacobite or two. Great educational event – the
township buildings have been constructed using
traditional building materials and thatches based on the township of Raits (about 5 miles away). Level access for wheelchairs but the township area is mainly grass with limited paths. Bring a packed lunch or eat at the museum café.
