From hunter gatherers to Robert Bruce; the multi-period archaeology of Tarradale on the Beauly Firth

A lunchtime lecture by Dr Eric Grant who will share how the valuable natural resource of Tarradale, west Black Isle, was exploited by Scotland's earliest Mesolithic settlers, by Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age farmers, and then developed into what may have been an important Pictish centre before emerging as the medieval landholding of Tarradale, centred on the site of Tarradale Castle.
