Talk: Snuff making and snuff taking in Scotland [Inverness]

25 February 2016, Starts: 13:00, Ends: 14:00

In this Lunchtime Lecture, Dr Eric Grant shares his research into various collections, including IMAG's own impressive assemblage of Scottish Snuff Mulls and Boxes. He will invite us to consider the 'very Scottish habit' of insufflating or snuffing smokeless tobacco into the nasal cavity and the elegant objects associated with this once extremely popular habit. An ideal not- so-rough guide to snuff!
