Placenames, Poetry and Music at Urquhart Castle
Historic Environment Scotland and NatureScot invite you to an evening celebrating Gaelic in Glenmoriston and Glenurquhart. Come along to our free event to hear about projects we’ve been involved in and the discoveries that have been made about Gaelic place-names, poetry and songs of the local area. You will get an opportunity to have a closer look at the project findings, explore Urquhart Castle and the new Gaelic audio guide, as well as a chance to chat over cake and a cuppa
Where: Urquhart Castle, By Drumnadrochit, Near Inverness, IV63 6XJ. You can find more information about access to the castle on HES’s website.
When: Friday 22nd March 2024. Doors open at 4.45pm for a prompt 5pm start, with the event finishing at 7pm. It is anticipated that the presentation starting at 5pm will last no more than half an hour. Attendees can leave before 7pm if they wish to do so.
