Spinning Workshop

Led by members of Overside Wool

Orgnised by Gairloch Museum. This drop-in workshop offers a chance to see wool transformed into yarn using techniques handed down through generations. Members of Overside Wool, a volunteer group dedicated to creating yarn for charity, will demonstrate their process and share insights into the craft. Participants can watch the spinners in action, try spinning for themselves using the wheels and materials provided, or bring their own wheel and learn how to use it. ​The session will also provide information about joining the group and learning more about fleece preparation.
