Walk: Prehistoric remains at the Heights of Brae ...

04 October 2015

Starts: 14:00
Ends: 16:00

Prehistoric Remains at the Heights of Brae

An extraordinary cup and ringed marked stone from the Heights of Fodderty, with decoration on both sides, has been moved to the Neil Gunn Monument, Heights of Brae, as part of an Adopt-A-Monument project. Join us for the launch of the monument.

There will then be a walk to the remains of a nearby Neolithic chambered cairn. Stout footwear and waterproofs needed. Children must be accompanied by adults. (Note that the cup and ringed marked stone is wheel-chair accessible, but the walk to the chambered cairn is not).

Meet at Neil Gunn Monument (NH 5191 6103) on unclassified road between Dingwall and Strathpeffer.
