Rosemarkie Caves Project

Talk by Simon Gunn

Perrins Centre, Alness.

The Caird's Cave at Rosemarkie was investigated in the summer of 2010 and the final report now available reveals some interesting clues as to the inhabitants of the cave thruogh the ages as well as verifying the cave as the site of Dr MacLean's excavation in 1910.

Burnt Mound Excavation and associated test pits, auguring and experiments Stronchrubie NC 249 186 just off A 837 south of Inchnadamph.
Parking at Stronchrubie Lodge 400m north of site to the west of the road.
 
Visitors welcome at any time 3 – 6 and 8 – 10 October 9am – 4pm. Volunteers to help with excavation and associated fieldwork very welcome.
