Jacobite Afternoon Tea: A Journey Through Time

Step back in time for an afternoon tea with a twist of history. Enjoy treats, costumed interpreters, and 18th century letter writing!

The Jacobite Afternoon Tea is a one-of-a-kind experience that will transport you to the 18th century. You’ll have the opportunity to hear from costumed interpreters, experience an afternoon tea at Culloden Battlefield, and write a letter to a friend or loved one (or even yourself!), with a quill, parchment, and a wax seal.

Willow basket-making workshop

Led by Karen Rollinson from Blushful Earth Handmade

Venue: Castlehill Heritage Centre, Castletown.

Using local materials, echoing a time when all containers were home made and used locally available materials.  Karen Rollinson who are based a few miles away in Brough. During the one and a half day course participants will make a peat creel.
