The final season of community excavation at a well-preserved Iron Age roundhouse [MHG8263] with the Gairloch Museum, muddy fun for all! We would recommend that attendees wear steel-toe boots if possible, or if not possible, sturdy walking boots with high ankles. Attendees should also bring waterproofs and work gloves, and kneeling pads if they have them.
Toilet and welfare facilities are provided by the Gairloch Museum a 2 minute walk away, but are not provided directly on site.
Details will be posted on the Gairloch Museum website, or contact the museum directly.

Railway Operations in Strathspey World War 2
Talk by Dr Steve Goodall
Organised by Grantown Museum. Venue: Grantown Museum.
Part of a series of 3 talks by Steve exploring wartime Strathspey. In the last few years, many previously unknown records which have lain undisturbed since the Second World War have been digitised and made publicly available by national archive centres. Dr Steve Goodall presents an overview of the new insights that they offer with a Strathspey context. The three talks will share stories, operations, characters, and images of these significant organisations, enabling a new perspective and understanding of their activities.
