Online Meeting: North UK Mills Group ...

15 October 2026

Starts: 10:00
Ends: 11:30

The North UK Mills Group is for anyone interested in mill heritage, millwrighting skills, and milling culture, with a focus on Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the northern counties of England.

These free online meetings offer a forum for inspiration on mill-related topics, with short talks from experienced speakers, case studies, historical insights, technical tips, and the chance to discuss practical ideas with peers.

Join us on the 15th October to hear from Mildred Cookson – former miller, founding trustee of the Mills Archive Trust, committee member and past Chair of the SPAB Mills Section – on the changes she has observed over the course of her career in milling and as a part of the organisations aiming to preserve and support its practice for the future.

After Mildred’s talk, there will be the opportunity to share thoughts and network.
