Talk: Old Clyne School, Brora [Invergordon] ...

17 June 2026

Starts: 19:00

Old Clyne School, Brora

Talk by Nick Lindsay

Organised by Invergordon Museum.

Join local historian and Chairman of Clyne Heritage Society, Nick Lindsay, for a digitally illustrated talk exploring the remarkable story of the Old Clyne School, in Brora.

From its beginnings as a Victorian parish school, through its many changing uses over the decades, Nick will chart how the recently-derelict building has been transformed into the thriving new Brora Heritage Centre — now home to the hugely popular Clyne Kitchen and the outstanding new Brora Heritage Museum, which celebrates the unique and fascinating Highland history of Brora and Strath Brora.

The talk will include rare photographs, behind-the-scenes insights into the ambitious redevelopment project, and the story of how a small community heritage society delivered one of the most exciting heritage regeneration projects in the Highlands."
