Hands-on Flint workshop [Elgin and Forres] ...

19 February 2014

HANDS-ON FLINT WORKSHOP 19 February 2014 Elgin Museum 11.00-12.30 Falconer Museum, Forres, 2.30-4.00

As part of the Moray Archaeology for All project, funded by Moray LEADER and the Baxter Foundation, and following the success of the pottery workshop held in November, we are holding a workshop to introduce people to flint, a material that regularly turns up when fieldwalking. While this is a one-off workshop, so that people can attend at a location convenient for them we have arranged two sessions, one in Elgin Museum and the other at the store of the Falconer Museum in Forres . The sessions will be led by lithics specialist Torben Ballin and represent an exciting opportunity to learn from an expert.

BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL! Numbers are limited, so if you want to book a place at the event, please email us at: clarklyleader@hotmail.co.uk and include Flint Workshop in the title. Please also specify whether you'd like to attend the Elgin or the Forres session.
