Could you survive in the woods? Come along and learn how to make a fire, shelter and toasting sticks in the outdoors - you may even get a tasty treat! Children must be dressed for outdoors and be accompanied by an adult.

Dig: Glenleraig [Assynt] ...

 Digging the Clearances

18th century houses that were abandoned when Glenleraig was cleared in 1812. During this three day dig we want to compare these houses with a house that was fully excavated three years ago.

Glenleraig is beside the B869. East from Drumbeg, go through Nedd and downhill to cross the head of Loch Nedd, then up the hill and look out for parking spots by the fir trees on the right and further along the road on the left.
