 Mine How you Go!

Allan Kilpatrick of HES describes efforts by the U.S. and Royal Navy in 1917-18 to lay a huge minefield called the North Barrage between Orkney to Norway. He examines the massive industrial, transport and naval resources required to prevent German U-boats from attacking allied convoys, and how this relates to other activity in the Moray and Cromarty firths at the time. Various exhibitions will also be available for browsing from 4pm. Venue: Spectrum Centre, Inverness (near the bus station). No booking necessary.

Free/donations welcome. Wheelchair access.
