A team from the Waggonway Project will be visiting Brora, Sutherland, in September. We’ll be building a replica salt pan for the Brora Salt Pans Research Group and also helping them dig a trench across their 18th century waggonway, from which we hope to draw comparisons with our own one here in East Lothian.

We will record videos live and upload others throughout the day to our Facebook and YouTube channels, to bring you a fascinating insight into Brora, salt and waggonway archaeology.
