Whose History? Reflections on history and heritage

Online talk by Professor Keir Reeves

Organised by UHI Centre for History. The talk will examine the heritage-history dynamic and argues that while history and heritage are often seen as the same, they are in fact, intellectually, politically and bureaucratically competing disciplines. This will be an illuminating and far-ranging discussion of interest to all those involved in museum work, heritage and interpretation, as well as to historians.

Information on joining from UHI Centre for History on their History Talks Live webpage. Please note that this talk is coming from Australia, so will start at 9:30am UK time.
