A future for your church

Free online workshop run by Heritage Trust Network and Historic Churches Scotland aimed at groups thinking about taking ownership of their local church, or already managing a reduncant church.  This workshop will present three case studies from Fife, followed by informal discussion.

This event will be broadcast on Zoom Meeting, with live transcript from Otter.ai, if you will have any difficulties with this or any other access issues, please contact Sarah Pearce on sarah.pearce@heritagetrustnetwork.org.uk for assistance. Book via Eventbrite

Parts of the event will be recorded, but no element of audience participation will be shared publicly at any time.

Heritage Trust Network and Historic Churches Scotland are joining forces to host the next event in this series for any group contemplating the future of their church building. At this event we will hear how future uses and financial models have been explored for three churches in Fife.

Deborah Kent, Project Officer at Fife Historic Buildings Trust will present on the recent study that was completed in 2023. Deborah will share the steps taken, community engagement activities that were carried out and the lessons learned from the study. This presentation will only be given live and no recording will be made – so be sure to attend on the day!

We will then hear from the community at St Monans Auld Kirk who took part in the study, to hear their experiences and recommendations to others. This case study will be recorded and shared with attendees afterwards.

Following this, we will have a Q&A session with the speakers followed by an informal discussion with attendees.
