Surveying Your Heritage : more Pathways into the Past in Strathpeffer

Over the next few weeks there will be the chance to find out more about how to spot potential archaeological features in the landscape, and to learn the survey skills that will enable you to investigate further.
Led by ARCH project officer, Cathy MacIver, this section of the ARCH Pathways into the Past course based in the Strathpeffer Community Centre, will be a mix of outdoor and indoor sessions.
The first meeting will a walkover survey this Saturday - 10 March - from 10.00 - 4.00 - meet at the Strathpeffer Community centre.
This will be followed by two indoor sessions in the community centre on tuesday 13 and 20 March at 6.30pm.
There will be the chance to join a second walkover day on Saturday 24 March - from 10.00 - 4.00 - meet at the Strathpeffer Community centre.
The final session will be a visit to Tain Museum on Tuesday 27 March. Meet at the community centre at 18.30. Booking is essential for this trip, in order to arrange the bus transport.
For both field days bring along a packed lunch - and warm clothes!
