Woodland History Conference in Perth

There's a fascinating range of speakers at this Woodland History Conference organised by the Native Woodland Discussion Group and held in the AK Bell Library, Perth.
They include Arnvid Lillehammer, emeritus Professor of Stavanger University talking about Scots in the timber trade along the western & southern coasts of Norway in the 16-17th century.
Anne Crone and Coralie Mills will be describing their work on tree ring evidence from Scotland and other speakers will talk about various periods of boat and ship building - including Eric Graham, an authority on the building of James IV's famous Great Michael, Robert Prescott of the Scottish Maritime Museum at Anstruther and Dan Atkinson, a maritime archaeologist.
Jim Skelton, will discuss the shipbuilding industry on the Spey, Gavin and Colin Parsons will be talking about the legendary Birlinn, and Barbara Crawford,will discuss where the Orkney Vikings got their timber from.
