Latest ARCH newsletter out
19 March 2013
The latest ARCH newsletter is out, listing lectures, walks and courses. Copies can be downloaded from the Library on the website.
Many of the activities are based on the east coast - but our work on a Highland-wide Telford project continues. We're very pleased to announce that Professor Roland Paxton, renowned Telford scholar, is coming to give an ARCH lecture on May 27th in Inverness.
There's lots happening with the Evanton Wartime Remains project, with weekly activities between now and July. Allan Kilpatrick's postponed lecture is now scheduled for 2nd April. There are two guided walks on Sunday the 24th. Meet at Skiach Services in Evanton at 10am for a morning walk looking at technical buildings which still remain. Then after lunch, we'll explore the accommodation areas - again meet at Skiach Services at 2pm. We'll be using cameras and GPS to record remains. Come for one or both sessions.
Also on the 24th March, Lachlan has his final Picturing Archaeology, this time based in Alness. Meet at Alness Heritage Centre at 10am.
