ARCH is looking for a part time Project Officer

28 May 2010

ARCH is now recruiting for a part time Project Officer for the Stop, Look and Listen Project. One of our current project officers, Cait McCullagh, has been awarded a full-time studentship with the University of Edinburgh. This is fantastic news for Cait, especially since such studentships are very difficult to obtain. However, it means that Cait will be stopping in her role as Stop, Look and Listen Project Officer this July, though we are pleased to say she will continue to be a part of ARCH, contributing to various events and activities.

ARCH is now looking for a project officer to join our team and help deliver the Stop, Look and Listen project. In particular, we are looking for a part time (3 days a week) project officer to deliver the Display the Past programme, interpretation modules within other programmes, and assist with other modules and the day to day running of the Stop, Look and Listen project. Ideally the candidate will also be able to teach desk-based assessments of heritage remains and have experience of running oral history projects. The candidate will also be required to do a substantial amount of administration and monitoring. The project officer will be home-based, but will also work once a week in our office in Dingwall. There will also be substantial travel to provide training and outreach.

There may be opportunities for further work on other ARCH projects, and the post holder can help shape future developments of ARCH.

Further details and application forms can be found in the Library on the website. Closing date for applications is 13th June, with interviews to take place on the 21st of June.
